A long-distance move works best when both ends are ready. Tell DNE when you must leave the current property and when someone can open the new one. These may not be the same day.
DNE arranges UK moves, including Northern Ireland, from its base in Grays, Essex. Each route is assessed individually. Confirm availability and the delivery arrangement before booking your own travel around an assumed timetable.
Give us one complete inventory
Include the large furniture, boxes and belongings in garages or outbuildings. Note anything fragile, valuable, heavy or difficult to carry. A forgotten room can change the space needed in the vehicle and the time needed to load.
Decide which belongings you will carry yourself. Keep identification, essential documents, medication, keys and the things you need during the journey separate from the removal load.
Allow for the handover at the new address
Confirm who will be present to receive the delivery and how DNE can contact them. Check that keys, parking and building access are available during the agreed window. If you have never visited the property, ask the agent or building manager for access information and photographs.
A long journey is not the moment to discover that the entrance has a height restriction or the lift needs booking.
Moves involving Northern Ireland
Give the exact destination and dates so the transport route and any crossing can be discussed. Ask which travel arrangements and charges are included, and what documents or inventory information are needed for your circumstances.
Requirements depend on the route and the goods being moved. Confirm them with DNE and the relevant official authorities before travel. This page is not a customs guarantee or an all-inclusive price promise.

Ask the quote to state collection and delivery arrangements, included handling, parking assumptions and what happens if access is delayed. If your inventory changes, send the update promptly.

Do you offer same-day delivery on every UK move?
No blanket delivery promise is made. Collection and delivery timing must be agreed for your route and circumstances.
Are ferry or crossing costs included?
Ask for the included travel costs to be stated in your quote. Do not assume that every crossing, fee or additional arrangement is included.
