Think about access beyond the front door
A ground-floor property can still involve a long carry from the road. A driveway may have a narrow gate or limited turning space. A flat may have a lift that is too small for the sofa.
Tell us about these details at both ends, even if the journey itself is short. If there is a private lane, shared courtyard or managed car park, check who can authorise vehicle access. Photos and dimensions are useful for anything that might be awkward.
Moving out, clearing out or both?
Decide what is coming to the new address before requesting the final removal quote. Keep the items you want cleared on a separate list, particularly if the work involves waste rather than belongings being transported.
DNE can discuss rubbish clearance and site clearance. The materials, access and collection requirements need to be assessed independently; a moving booking does not automatically include disposal.
Give the handover enough attention
If you are leaving one property and collecting keys for another on the same day, explain the likely timing. Ask what happens if access is delayed and make sure the quote covers the arrangement you agree.
